Last Hurrah

Tuesday was our last day in Brazil as we left that night at 11:30 p.m. but we still had a couple things to fit in before our departure. One was to fill all the flip-flop orders that Ruth had from her family, friends, and neighbors. So we went over to Wal-Mart (yes, Wal-Mart is everywhere--and its pretty much the same as an American Wal-Mart) where we found a multitude of havaianas.
While we were shopping, Aunt Betty made one last stop at the church where the wedding was, to pick up the decorations that had been left. Once we got home, I helped carry in the last of the branches.
In the afternoon, we cousins had our final hurrah at a churrascaria. Here is another view of the streets of Sao Paulo outside our restaurant:
When you eat at a churrascaria, they continually bring out different cuts of meat for you to eat as long as you have the "Sim, Por Favor" sign up. As soon as you are stuffed to the max, you flip the sign to "Nao, Obrigado" and the servers stop bringing the food.
Can you tell these two are brothers?

To finish the meal, Ruth got her cafezinho--basically a little shot of coffee, as they do it in Brazil.
She was happy. :-) After churrasco, we had to pack up our bags and say our goodbyes to our Brazilian family. It was a busy wedding week, but we were so thankful to be a part of the celebration!
