7 months

April 24, 2014: Titus is 7 months old

Right at the 7 month mark, Titus began to move like crazy. He all of a sudden learned to sit up, crawl, do yoga moves, and became really interested in food. At 7 1/2 months he's now pulling himself up and trying to get at everything which means no more leaving him alone in a room anymore. He's still our sweet happy boy and although I didn't know it was possible, we are growing more in love with this little guy every day!

• Wearing 9 month clothes.
• Sitting Up.
• Crawling!
• Pulling up.
• Standing with help.
• First trip to California to visit Aunty Karen, Uncle Brian, and cousins (also first airplane trip with just mommy!)
• Sometimes sleeping through the night but more often waking up 1-2 times.
• Trying lots of new foods. So far he's eating most things except still not a fan of bananas or avacado. Likes olives, steak, eggs, kale, green beans, peas, carrots, etc. Loves any time he gets a little taste of sugar!!
• His hair finally laid down on its own. No more mohawk, but still strawberry blonde.
• In the nursery every week at church now.
• Loves playing with daddy and laughing at the doggies.

7 months out-takes:

This kid was not very pleased that I put him back in his crib for photos so soon after waking up this morning so there were more tears than smiles happening. We'll save both for posterity.

And yes, I actually climbed in the crib to see if it would help the smiles. It worked a little bit...

6 Months

March 24, 2014: Titus is 6 months old today.

• Weighs in at 15lb. 4oz. and is 26.5" long. Still in the tall and skinny category.
• Wearing 9 month clothes.
• Favorite new food: Sweet Potatoes.
• Adding in new foods: loving some bites of scrambled eggs in the morning.
• People always comment on his red mohawk and his smiles.
• The red mohawk sticks up straight all on its own.
• Still loving to jump jump jump!
• We have transitioned to 2-3 naps a day and a bedtime of 7 p.m. Sleeping through the night can be done, but its still not every night. Normally we are up at least once together for a quick snack. He sleeps anywhere from 7 to 9 in the morning.
• Loves giggling at his Wolfie dog.
• Working on Crawling! At the beginning of the month he was rolling to get places. At 6.5 months he is doing some scooting as well as rocking and launching to get at things within his reach.

5 Months

February 24, 2014: Titus is 5 months old today.

• He is rolling all over the place.
• He is wearing 6 month clothes.
• He loves to laugh and smile and interact with people. Definitely a social kid.
• The Johnny-Jump Up is his favorite.
• He has discovered a couple "new" things. His feet and his dog Wolfie.
• We're working on the screaming he's added to the naptime routine.
• Loves to wiggle.
• Sleeps from 8-8 with a couple (or more) wake ups in between. BUT I know he can do a straight 12 hours since he's done it twice before.
• Starting on solid foods. Likes sweet potatoes, hates rice cereal and oatmeal cereal.
• Went swinging at the park for the first time. It was a hit!

4 Months

January 24, 2014: Titus is 4 months old today.

• Weighs in at 13 lb. 3 oz., 25" long = Tall and Skinny boy.
• Sleeps from 10:30 to 4:30 on most nights and after eating continues to sleep until 7 and then 9.
• Experienced First Snow. Wasn't that impressed but maybe next year.
• Laughing and smiling more and more.
• Starting to use Exersaucer and Johnny-Jump Up.
• Rolling both ways.

3 Months

December 24, 2013: Titus is 3 months old today.

• Celebrated his first Christmas.
• He started giving his first real giggles!
• Turning into a mama's boy already.
• Flew to Santa Fe to visit Grandma and Grandpa Sobel on the day he turned 3 months.
• Learning to interact with toys more and to be more content just hanging out.
• Sleeping 4-6 hour chunks at night.

2 Months

November 24, 2013: Titus is 2 months old today.

• Weighs 11 lb. 5 oz., 23.3" long.
• He was baptised on the morning he turned 2 months.
• Sweet smiles and coos.
• Generally sleeps 3-4 hours at a time through the night.
• First Thanksgiving at Grammy and Grandpa Lensch's house.

1 Month

October 24, 2013: Titus is 1 month old today.

• Traveled to Santa Fe for Aunt Liz's wedding: first plane ride!
• Met Grandpa Sobel, and all the Sobel Aunts and Uncles.
• Rolled from tummy to back at 6 weeks.
• Starting to sleep for 4 hour chunks at night.

First Four Weeks

Newborn Stage:

• Found him scooched to the edge of his crib at 3 weeks after putting him in the middle. Already a mover!
• Born our tongue tied little boy! Had his frenulum clipped when we left the hospital.
• First visitors were Grammy Lensch and Grandma Sobel. Both love him very much.
• Titus is a decent sleeper and a good eater. He even lets mommy sleep some.
• Birth measurements: 7 lb. 9 oz., 19.5"
• 2 week checkup measurements: 7 lb. 13.5 oz., 21"
• The whole year I imagined bringing my baby home in the heat of an Indian Summer, but fall came early this year and it was wet, rainy, and windy our first week at home. Time for cozy fires and cuddling a new baby.
