I know many of you who follow my blog are already praying, but I wanted to spread the word to ask as many people to pray for my dear friend Melissa as possible. If you were able to attend my wedding, then I'm sure you were blessed by Melissa's musical talent as I was on that day. She helped me pick out all the music for my wedding and played the piano and sang beautifully with her sisters. She is on the right in the photo above. Melissa has always been an example of a godly woman in my life and I am so blessed to call her a friend and role model.
A few days after our wedding, Mel was diagnosed with breast cancer and is having surgery tomorrow. The doctors are hopeful that surgery and chemo will cure her and we are hopeful that God is able to heal her. Please remember to pray for her, her husband Kirk, and their four young boys: Wyatt, Ellis, Reid, and Joel through this trial.

ReplyDeleteI had the privilege of meeting Kirk and Melissa at dinner on the night before your wedding. From our short time together, I could tell that they are an incredible couple who is on fire for Jesus. I will definitely be praying for peace and strength for their family as Melissa begins treatment.
