This weekend while I was in Tacoma for Thanksgiving, we were able to pull off a surprise shower for Ruth and Sammy. It was all Debbie's idea to begin with and a great idea at that. With Jeff's help, we managed to keep it a total surprise and had at least 20 friends gather to bless them with gifts and love as they prepare to bring their 5th child home from Ethiopia.
Here's the surprised guest of honor as she opened the door to a room full of friends after a normal morning of swimming lessons for the kids.
It was a good time for everyone to hear about what God is doing through this adoption and a special time to share that with friends.
My friend Shannon was so sweet to custom make this pillow/sign for me to give to Ruth. She is a very talented and creative lady and comes up with great designs for any theme you might have in mind. Check out her etsy shop.
We can't wait to welcome little Sam home to our family. The Pattersons are just waiting for the go-ahead to go pick him up, so if you think of them this week, pray that they will trust in God's timing to bring him home. They are praying that it will be this week!
