32 Weeks: Today we had another ultrasound check up at the specialist to make sure everything is okay with the baby due to my blood pressure concerns from early on in the pregnancy. My bp has really stayed on the low side of high and even recently dropped to a normal range (not exactly sure why but it may have to do with some essential oils I've been taking). So all of this is just an extra precaution because high blood pressure can cause a lack of growth in the baby and complications in delivery at the end of pregnancy. Everything looked good today. Baby is measuring 4.5 lb. which is 60th percentile and all the fluids and measurements looked just great. It is starting to look squishy in there--sorry kid, you have 8 weeks to go before you can come out and stretch...So as a result of the normalcy of everything, the Dr. talked to my midwife and scaled back all the weekly visits they had recommended when I saw them last time. Besides my regular midwife appointments, we'll just do one more growth check in September to make sure everything is continuing the way it should. We'll just go for one more growth check in September (besides my regular midwife appts.). So this is all good news for now and we are hoping it all stays this way and that all the bp hype was for nothing. It has been fun to see the little guy a few extra times through the pregnancy though.
We spent the weekend at the coast with Chris' parents and are enjoying summer while we have it. I'm still feeling good although starting to notice that I'm slowing down and a little less comfortable when I'm sleeping these days. I hope you are all enjoying your summer as well!
