One of the things I am most thankful for is that I am blessed with AMAZING friends! I have so many special people in my life that are a huge encouragement to me. Autumn Faee Darms andAlexandra Kaye Tong are two people who have been especially dear to me over the last few years. We all went to high school together but weren't extremely close back then and it was only after we all found ourselves back in Tacoma during and after college that we really bonded. We've had many adventures including 2 trips to Europe together, and I love these girls! Well, now Ali is married and off living in Moscow--Idaho that is, not Russia--and was not able to be in Tacoma for Christmas. So we postponed our Trifecta gift exchange to last week when Ali was able to come to town. We gathered at "the usual place"--downtown Tacoma, naturally, and had a blast giving our gifts to one another--and I was extra spoiled because we celebrated my birthday too!
yay for some new cozy pajamas from Ali!
This is how these work, right?
Here was one of my new crafting adventures: quilted bags. More pics to come soon now that they've seen their gifts.
Dear Autumn put together the most amazing book for me! I couldn't believe it! Its basically a ridiculous scrapbook all about me and my weird quirks and talents. haha. She put a lot of thought, work, and time into it and it made me laugh so much! I felt loved--even though I will say again that it is a completely ridiculous book!
Here is the cover: since Autumn and Ali are both engaged/married now, their on a mission to getting me married off--so the theme for the year is obviously, "Finding Men in 2010."
So the book is basically reasons why I am marriageable.
The first reason:
Followed by a series of pictures and a basic resume' which includes but is not limited to: "She has a healthy appetite...she can ice skate, while holding hands even!...she can make daisy chains...she can paddle a canoe...she can hang puff balls...she can catch bouquets...she can catch fish..." etc. so you get the idea. Perhaps Autumn can produce an online version for me sometime.
But this was not nearly the highlight of the morning. Autumn had been proposed to the night before and decided to keep it a secret until she could tell us together in person. She was in a little bit of trouble for not saying anything even while she let us jabber on about him proposing soon for several minutes. But in all, we were so excited that we forgave her waiting. I think this picture of right after she spilled the news is priceless:
I love that book! I want to read it sometime! cute friends!
