Around the Yard in May

Here's some of what I'm enjoying around the yard this month:

Does anyone know what kind of bush/flower this is? I'm stumped. But it sure is beautiful!

Sunflowers were a gift from Talitha. The rest are spring flowers from my yard.

Don't you just love a freshly mowed lawn??

And perhaps my proudest moment was to find apples growing on the tree I tenderly pruned this winter. It was a ton of work because I don't think it had been done for several years--which explains why there were no apples last year. Looking forward to finding out what these will taste like!

  1. Hi Charissa ~

The place looks lovely. You look lovely. The flower/bush type plant is called Lupin. Sometimes you can see them in a field as in their wild state they are purple. I have also seen them in colors of red, pink and white. I really like them and have tried to grow them but none of mine look as healthy as the one shown in your picture.

    loves to you ~ Judy

    1. So great to know! Thanks, Judy! I haven't done a thing to it, so maybe location is the key to Lupin.
