Some Inside Shots

Here are a few more inside shots that were taken pretty early on when we moved in so things are slowly changing around here. Sorry I didn't share these sooner!

Our Kitchen and Nook: Now painted with some blue walls--cupboards are still white.

My countertops are the same as the bathroom wall backsplash in the house I grew up in. Must've been the in thing in the 1940s!

Original wood floors! Chris spent a lot of time refinishing them! This is a view from the kitchen into the Living area.

Our Fireplace. I go back and forth on whether or not I like the red but I think eventually it will be painted.

Another living room space. This room was an addition to the house so when we ripped out the carpet there was no beautiful 1940s wood floor underneath. We got someone to come match it to our other floors which took some time but we are happy we did it!

Floors all done and the room painted. The floors are a little lighter and not as yellow as they look in this photo.

The fun things of an old house are finding what is hidden under the paint and floors. Love this old wallpaper that we found under the base boards. Too bad it is all covered up again!

Chris found these old newspapers from 1943 when he ripped out the carpets. Really neat treasures!!

Our hopes are to convert the upstairs into our Master Suite but for now our King Size bed takes up on of the rooms downstairs. You don't need much more than a bed right?

Lots of potential to work with upstairs--just have to start the work!

Lots more to do but it is progressing! Sometimes I think it would've been nice to just buy a new home with all the work done, but then again it is so fun to have the character of our little old farm home and its nice to put the work in to make it just how we want our little home!
